Anyone care to guess just how much this went for--outside ebay? Surely to Asia. I was talking to a CR lister recently who spends time in Japan, and apparently there has been this slow 15-20 year build of interest in old De Rosas..and now, the sky's the limit, price-wise. If you're a collector in Japan, you just don't rate unless you have one..so it seems. Can't help thinking the popularity of Nagasawas may have something to do with this...since he apprenticed with De Rosa, and built bikes that look much like a De Rosa for a long time.

Darned nice bike. Glad it wasn't my size.
