Subject: [CR] Selling ex-mystery frame, now Frejus

I had last year, a mystery frame (now determined to be a Frejus) that a few people on this list gave me a hand with. Billy Rounds gave it a shot of paint, and I built it up with period components and rode it for a bit, but it's too big for me, so I replaced it with a Bianchi fromt he same period. I don't have the exact measurments here, but it's 59-60 CTC seat tube. Bike seems to have been built between 1958-1962 and has an interesting set of braze-ons for the derailler cables, designed for use with bar-end shifters, which is how I had it configured. Cinelli lugs all around, though not the fast back arrangement. 26.8 ID in the seat tube. Campy lugs front and rear. The rear derailler drop has the hole for the spring attachment whcih was common tot he period. i thknk the hole went away in '62? The frame over-all is in good shape now with fresh paint, a few little nicks from use, but nothing noticable. The threads on the stear tube were chewed and rusted a bit, but it didn't affect the build and the headset was nice and tight, using a period Magistroni Headset. (which has since been moved to my Wilier).

Anyone interested, contact me off-list and I will send pics of the bike as built. Sale is for Frame and Fork only, no bb or headset. 300 dollars Shipped is the price, and I will have shipped by LBS so it'll be safe in transit. Anyone close enough to Stamford CT can pick it up and I'll remove the ship charge from the offer price.

I also have a full set of decals for this frame which will be included.
