The easy way to make a chainring nut tool is to clamp a screw driver of an appropriate size, or close to it, in the vise and make a notch in it with a file. If it is only close, you can use the file to fine tune the fit. Nothing finer than a custom made tool and the satisfaction of doing it yourself. This one is an easy one.

Subject: [CR] TA Chain Ring Nut Wrench ?

Ahoy ! I have just realized the need of a two-tine wrench to fit the chain ring nuts for a TA three-arm crank. The bolts are solid and do not permit use of a Shimano type wrench having a center locating pin. Is such a wrench available? Any suggestions other than taking screwdriver to the grinding wheel? I'd like to think there is general tool for this type of slotted nut.

Thanks.
