Ishiwata tubing was also used by Stan Pike on occaisions, especially when aske for, I have 2 of his frames in that tubing, but he did make a super light one in the same tubing for John Woodburns End to End record, which John told me , Fell to bits after about 500 miles and he had to use his spare bike for the remainder of the attempt. Just thought Id bung this in. Barrie Carter. in 17deegree Roundham UK PS Went out with the Axe Valley Pedlers today, all sorts of guys and gals turned up for the Tweed Run, you had to dress in 50s gear. Great craic, specially the scones and cream after 4 miles! Barrie carter, as before Roundham, UK

Belgian framebuolders certainly used Ishiwata tubing early on - a couple of years ago I bought quite a number of sets of Ishiwata 017 tubing which had come from a Belgian framebuilder.

But this particular seller's other bikes do not impress me - c1978/9 Colnago marked up as a 1973 Colnago Super and a late 80s Pinarello with a mish-mash of Campag kit...

However reds are notoriously difficult colour to photograph digitally so   I do not think one can read anything into the colour portrayed by Ebay's very poor quality Jpegs...
