Sean:

I hate to be a creep but this For Sale ad says:

"Great condition. Some covered up rust spots on the top tube cable guides....."

Then I look at this picture

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dubteka/4500867960/sizes/l/in/photostream/

and it looks like a poop-load of rust and not "covered up" at all. In fact, that frame is seriously rusty. Not in "Great Condition" at all...

Of course you are not selling this, your buddy is. And CR membership is is free, so why isn't he selling it himself and able to respond to any challenges to his description?

This is why I think maybe this selling of stuff here ought to be by members only.

Listing this for a friend. Please contact me off list and I will forward your email to him.

Up for sale is a 1986 3Rensho road bike frame and fork imported by Yellow Jersey. Serial number is A474 - 545.

Description from seller:

"Great condition. Some covered up rust spots on the top tube cable guides. Fork is original, but no decals. No bb, but comes with a tange hs. Shimano rear drops and fork ends."

I know the seller quite well and he is very reputable. Was going to help him build this guy up, but apparently babies come before bikes. : ) Who would have guessed? At any rate, I'll help coordinate things if needed. I've seen this bike in person and it is as advertised. I also own a Rensho road bike and they are amazing rides if you are looking for something to put some miles on. The geometry is somewhere between classic italian and traditional french. Not too aggressive, yet not too lax. "Just Right" in a Goldielocks sorta way.

Asking price is $700 for F/F/Headset, plus actual shipping and paypal fees.

Thanks all.
