I will be using the parts not hanging them on a wall so I would like them nice but they don't need to be perfect either. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I think they are right, in terms of 1959 being prior to the introduction of the Record. Funny thing is that I don't remember feeling much difference in normal use with the gears of the time, with two exceptions: (1) Back then, I was never able to get the GS to work with a 13 tooth cog. Always skipped, no matter what I tried. But, I was very young when I tried this in 62 and 63, and there may have been tricks. (2) Because the GS took up much less chain than the Record, it didn't do as well when the pack moved from 3-tooth splits in front to 10-tooth splits. I'll check if I have a spare rider GS...
