Hello CR'ers -

I have decided to part with an old Gitane I have had for about 10 years. It is a mid -level bike. Probably 60s vintage. It is a bit big for me. Also - the common refrain - too many bikes too little space.

List member Stephan Andranian of GitaneUSA.com sent a kind message about the bike that is posted at the bottom of the listing.

The "tubes Flash " sticker on the downtube is mentioned in the 1966 pricelist for the Gitane Sport. The spokes are double butted stainless as it says in the pricelist, and the steel crank is Nervar, but the freewheel and hubs do not match.

I found this bike leaning against the fence of an elementary school with a big "FREE" sign on it.
