I couldn't find my computer/reading glasses this afternoon and missed your comment about "return spring".

I just bought a Huret Challenger RD on eBay that's missing the spring for the pulley cage so that was on my mind.

Looking at the pictures of different model Huret Jubilee derailleurs on velobase.com it appears that there were at least 2 maybe 3 different styles of return springs used on Jubilees.

A Svelto spring definitely wont work and I didn't even bother looking at the Alvit.

Beefy springs like the ones on the Jubilee RDs are not likely to loose their strength unless they have been bent or otherwise damaged.

I'd look at some of the other poster's suggestions.

> Don't suppose anyone has a good return spring? Guess the only other option would be another Jubilee in good working order? Huret dropouts on this bike - any other options I should consider? I like this bike, but don't really want to put much money into it - it's going to be an "office bike" for lunch rides.
