Subject: [CR] Wanting info on Coventry-Eagle road bike; time-capsule condition...

Hey, all-

just did some trading for a Coventry-Eagle sport/touring bike, and can't find any info relating to this particular model- lots of utility bikes, and some road models that were Falcon blue and made of gas-pipe.....this one is metallic red, 1/2-chrome fork, forged rear ends (no hanger), 60's style Reynolds '531 plain guage tubes, forks and stays' sticker; low-end Campy 'Velox' shifters/levers, 'Tipo' hubs on Rigida steel rims, Altenbger 'Centrepull' (sic) brakes, GB bar/stem, Perjohn saddle, Bluemels' alloy 'shorty' fenders.....and the MOST impressive head badge EVER- it makes my '68 Legnano hide it's head(badge) in shame!. As far as I can tell, the only parts that are not original are the tires- it is about as box-stock as one could hope for, in pristine condition. Should have some pics up tomorrow evening; any data appreciated.

thanks,
