Subject: [CR] Question ON Raleigh Pro & International

I have owned several Raleigh Pros over the years. I now have a 74 MkIV which I ride regularly. I know next to nothing about other Raleigh bikes from the 70s & 80s. I note that the International was also a 531 frame (though different configuration from the Pros, at least those made with the fast back seat lugs) and was equipped with Campy components except for the brakes. What was the marketing niche for this bike? It seems so close to the Pro that I don't understand why Raleigh would produce both bikes at the same time. Was the International not designed as a racing bike? Am I missing something? George Strickler New Orleans, La.
