Hi John,

That's odd about the Raleigh International? I was with my friend when he bought a new Raleigh International in 74. I have had close to a dozen more Raleigh Internationals all running 700 tubular's and never on a Raleigh International have I seen a drop bolt. Several other issues with early (62-70 Paramount's I have had to use drop bolts, but never on an International with Campagnolo regular reach Nuovo Record calipers with a drop at max 56mm (c of pivot bolt to c of brake pad, while caliper is partially compressed).

George-

The two bikes were indeed different. The Pro did change some so a direct comparison is time dependent. The International had a longer wheelbase, some from slacker angles and rake, some from longer chainstays. Bigger clearances, easy to mount fenders on an International. Every once in a while we sold an International with dealer installed Campagnolo side pulls, which also required a rear drop bolt, even with that they came in cheaper than a Pro, but rarely considered as a cross shopped bike.
