To those who doubt the results of regrinding races. Here's my take, and there's always more then one idea, and one result. If the part is pitted and you buy new and throw the old piece away. It's gone forever. It doesn't serve any purpose what so ever. If I regrind the part, which only costs me time ( I'm retired) ( I already have the tools) and (I love metal working)! Then if I only get 3,000 miles out of the HS crown race or 7,000 miles out of a Campy axle, then I still come out the winner. I don't have any fears or guilt about riding a regrind part. I started doing this about 30 years ago when I was raising kids and couldn't go buy new Campy parts every few months. But, the part about paying $37 each when you can shop around and buy new for less, then it doesn't look real juicy to me. Just my view on the subject.
