I think the date is misunderstood.  When the advertiser says "end '70", I am sure he means late 1970s, which is when this frame was made.  That is also when chrome plating seems to have disappeared from PX10s.

My 1975 PX10 and 1976 PY10 have the earlier style Simplex dropouts.  The dropouts and lack of chrome on this frame make it 1977 or later.

With respect to the decals on Mafac Competition brakes in place of stamped lettering, both my above bikes have the decals.

Maillard 700 hubs had decals into the 1980s, not too say that they didn't make some like the ones advertised earlier than that.

Dale's observation about the under/over bottom bracket cable routing is very interesting.  I noticed that the seller is selling a PX-10 / PY-10 grouppo at the same time as they are selling this frameset.

Among the grouppo parts, there are

a Simplex SLJ derailleur, however, the front derailleur (silver   logo) is not matched in color to the rear derailleur (gold logo),   and in fact, the front derailleur needs a cable-stop and a cable to   route the cable to the front of the front derailleur, but the PX10   frame doesn't have the right routing for it, and

a stronglight-spiedel (decal) 105-bis crankset.  This probably nails   the year (1976?  1977?), and

a maillard 700 hubset with stenciling, NOT a gold Maillard   professional decal.  Does anyone know when these were introduced ??

a mafac competition brakeset with the small trapezoid label on the   left side of each caliper arm.  Anyone know when these were   introduced?  I saw them NOS at Alex Singer in 2004, BTW.

Can someone confirm the information on when each of these parts was introduced ??
