I remember the Modolo Marketing in the 1980's. Whereas Weyless would tout their hubs as being "4 ozs lighter than Campagnolo", Modolo had the gall to claim their brakes were superior to Campagnolo in 4 different ways, AND then they would talk about how beautiful they were - perhaps even more beautiful than Campagnolo. This is a company that wanted to beat Campagnolo on all playing fields at once!
And the Master Pros are the absolute tip-top of the line model. They commanded prices superior to Campagnolo, but were superior in 4 ways ( if anyone can remember all 4 ways that would be amazing ... )
Anyway, with NOS campagnolo brakesets selling for $400, $500, why not $600 for a NOS brakeset that's superior to Campagnolo in 4 ways? Why not?
