What's in a can of PROOFIDE?

Tallow, Cod oil, Vegetable oil, Paraffin wax, Beeswax, Citronella oil. (Information from and older Brooks website.)

Tallow - rendered animal fat that is solid at room temperature.

Tallow is the primary ingredient in some leather conditioners. 100g contains 109mg of Cholesterol!

Cod Oil - Fish oil extracted from cod fish livers i.e. Cod Liver Oil

Vegetable Oil - What kind?

Paraffin Wax - Petroleum product.

Beeswax - From honeycombs

Citronella Oil - Essential oil extracted from the leaves of tropical plants. Used as an 'odorant' to mask other smells as in perfumes.

Research shows that citronella oil has strong antifungal properties and is effective in calming barking dogs. It will help keep mosquitoes away too!
