I have listed some items on Ebay Item#170483120838,That I offered to the list the GB Ventoux bars, Several members inquired and did not like the fact they are 15" wide outside to outside, I THINK? they where ONLY offered in this width, this was the style in the 50s, a real narrow bar, Like riding a fixed gear, many things that we clubmen did was from TRADITION! you did as your peers did. No NEW fangled things for you! What worked for the elders in the club is what you did. You had to EARN the right to change. Prove your self THEN CHANGE! NCU was BIG bro in those days, BLRC was the up start, Percy and the boys REBELS! WHAT, challenge the NCU "I say old chap " Not bloody cricket you know! I think this way of life was typical in England after the war, we all felt a sense of pride that we had prevailed TRADITION TRADITION! Class conscious Brits. Thats why I made the comment of the commentator on the Pathe news, How many mates did we know that sounded like that! TTFN Mates. J
