Yeah I know. That bike is mine and I am not a fan of those type of cranks either other than the fact that they are sincerely a classic. For the weight weenies, they weigh more than most carbon fiber entire bikes, for the mechanics they are a pain in the anus for removal, but they will never die...the rings were virtually last a couple of lifetimes. And I guess that is why I like them after all....they are meant and they were built to last, unlike anything made to day. I never really rode one long enough to see if the cotter would actually fail or not. I would imagine that as long as you keep the taper in place with the lock nut , that would do the trick forever and ever....seeya
