Yes, it is true that matching some older faded and possibly discolored paint on a low end Bianci is both tedious, thankless and perhaps not worth the effort (for most), BUT this is a classic case of trying to put a price on one man's life. What is the value of one's youth and memories? I for one think that a restorer must be willing to be part artist and part psychologist. Christ! I'm only a County transportation officer and I consider it part of my job to provide support and comfort to those that I'm duty sworn to cite with sometimes quite large tickets while their illegal taxi or limo is being towed away. It's not enough to know the technical aspects of the job without understanding the human aspects.

The moment that Cyclart agreed to take delivery under some prior terms they were duty bound to consider the fragility of the man who sent the bike. That said, providing the job was within their capabilities, and the price was agreeable to both parties, the job should have proceeded. Perhaps Cyclart thought they were over their heads or the price was too high for the customer, but if neither was the case .... this was truly a disappointing experience.
