Subject: [CR] Mystery French Frame.....

Posted this a little over a week ago with no response. It's plaguing me now, so I thought I'd give it one more shot with some better pictures.

Worth mentioning that a rattle can wielding Paramount lover got a hold of this a while back, but this frame absolutely no Paramount.

French threads all around, Huret Dropouts and fork ends, Bocama Lugs, 25.8 seatpost. Cantilever posts. Pictured with 700c wheels (and some 35c schwalbees), but I think the canti brakes look paired to 27" wheels (definitely not 650B). Serial # on BB shell is 2041. No markings anywhere else.

My thoughts: A late 60's Gitane Hosteller or other touring / Rando frame, or possibly a Bertin touring or Cyclocross frame. Because of the serial number I'm assuming it was a larger company. Can anyone confirm? Even info on bikes built with Huret Dropouts would be helpful as I cannot seem to find much.

I realize she may be nothing special, but I hope to restore it. I'm excited about the prospect of building a poor man's Herse. All help is appreciated.
