Subject: [CR] For sale: First generation Dura-Ace brakes

I am offering a set of first generation Dura-Ace sidepull calipers and levers.

The calipers are what used to be called normal reach, as opposed to short reach. They are in excellent condition. They have Shimano shoes and pads. Unlike Campagnolo brakes, the wheel guides are built into the calipers, rather than the brake shoes. They also feature a simpler qr mechanisim than the Campagnolo cam. I cleaned them up, but did not give them a full detailing.

The levers have some scrapes, but are straight and certainly functional. They are polished to a high gloss, and the scratches are not really obvious until you get pretty close. They have black Dia-Compe hoods which are soft, with plenty of life left in them. The hoods fit very well.

The price is $75 shipped in the continental US. Please contact me off-list if you are interested
