Those are mostly likely not a knock-off. Velox just very recently changed their plugs so they now no longer have the raised-letter text on the end of the plug. They also have a very distinctly different odor that the previous plugs. When they first come out of the box, they're pretty unpleasant smelling, but it dissipates somewhat in a few days. A pretty disappointing development in my opinion.

List,

I just got some Velox bar plugs via internet mail order, but they don't have the Velox logo. Has Velox stopped molding their logo into their bar plugs, or are these a knockoff product?

Also in the same shipment got some Airius crochet-back gloves, but turns out the palm is synthetic leather, (Clarino) so they'll be returned.
