Another data point for you from the 1979 Ron Kitching catalogue. A 1979 Ron Kitching Cyclassic is specified in two models: 'Cyclassic 531' Reynolds tubing, and 'Cyclassic 971' Super Vitus tubing. Then it says in this letter case "FRAMES only assembled with head and bracket fittings but supplied less chainwheel sets. COMPETE CYCLES are custom built only to customer's special order. Prices on application."
