It's authentic, it's polished aluminum with some kind of clear coat over it, I think it's from the 1980s but I can't say for sure that it is actually on-topic, and until installed, it's very easy to accidentally bend or crimp and violate the consistent look of. They have a self adhesive strip on the backside. If you are putting it on your on-topic or keeper of the flame frame, then it becomes on-topic for sure :)
