Yeah, great project for someone; especially if it goes cheap. The BB cable guides are not original either, which is fortunate. They look to be a bit lower than they should be, luckily they should come off also, during a proper restoration. The chrome on the crown may be savable, which would also be a big plus.

Someone needs to adopt this beauty and give it a proper new home.

The seller didn't even know it but his frame is a 70-71. It has been resprayed with later 70s decals and had top tube cable guides and shifter braze-ons added, but it has the telltale clovers in all 3 lugs with a larger one on the lower lug, and the two-hole crown with no clover. Long dropouts with no eyelets of course. Going way too cheap now. Buy this and let me restore it for you with the proper playing card decals.
