It occurs to me this clamp maybe should go on the down tube, rather than the seat tube? now, that is embarrassing... Sorry to trouble the list...

Hope someone can help:
Trying to finish the build-up of the Comp GS (in time for cirque), and having an issue with the Campy BB shifter cable clamp. On the RD side--the right hand side when looking down-- there are two separate cable channels, and one protruding tab. Using the longer of the channels, the graceful "swoosh" shaped one, is obvious. But from there, the upward heading channel seems to be for an FD.. so that is out of the equation. But there is a lower protruding tab that has me stumped.. when positioned in good cable alignment (with the shifter, the RD, etc.) the darn Tab is actually in the way of smooth operation of the cable. I need to slide the clamp up high to run the cable below the tab.. and if i slide the clamp lower, to run the cable over the tab, the clamp is up against the BB lug on both sides and torquing the clamp will press the FD and RD guides outward.....
Does one generally just grind this pesky tab off??? Or am I doing something wrong?
