Hi Brandon, Fuchs was co-sponsor of the Nivea-Fuchs racing team in the 50s, upon which Fiorenzo Magni raced, as you mentioned, and where Faliero Masi appears to have been head mechanic.
A Google search for Nivea Fuchs brings up some results. Here is the pertinent clip from a 2009 article written about Ernesto Colnago on the occasion of his 77th birthday:
"Colnago worked on his first Giro d'Italia in 1954 as second mechanic on
the Nivea-Fuchs team, led by Fiorenzo Magni. His boss that year was Faliero
Masi and the young Colnago headed out to the '54 Giro with his uncles

There is a Facebook fan page called "Rad Fuchs" with modern bikes, but I
saw at least one pic of an old bike, so you might be able to find people who

I have some 1950s Italian sports magazines, and can possibly find some Magni on bicycle images in them, but a lot of the time, he rode Wilier bikes. I don't know if there is a connection there or not.

My name is Brandon Gillin, and I am a newbie here. I have a really interesting old bike that, when I bought it at a yard sale last summer, I was told was made in 1959 in Italy. The brand says "Fuchs" -- and the frame is all metal, silver, and the lugs are phenomenal. It really looks like someone put a lot of work into this bike. I have done some research on Fuchs, and there's not much out there. All I have found is this:
1) Fuchs ("The Faster Fox") was a well respected Italian brand by Giovanni Tappella (Milan, Italy)

That's all I know. Can someone please give me some more background on Fuchs bicycles? They seem to have some affiliation with Masi. Were they all made by Masi?
