There really isn't much difference I can discern in the prices of 2nd generation NOS Super Record rear derailleurs get on Ebay that correlates to year stamping. Similarly there doesn't seem to be much variation in the value of 1st gen and Nuovo Record RDs as a correlation to date stamp either except for rare early production examples. When I began gathering data, I expected there to be some years worth more than others or perhaps a trend where older are generally worth more than newer, but not so much it turns out.

NOS-NIB both no date and 82 stamped RDs go for between about 150 and 300 USD, with no rhyme or reason I can find as to why some go high and others low. Ebay prices vary wildly for the exact same NOS item, even considering shipping and feedback ratings, and often in the same period of a few days. I've many times seen the exact same item sell, one for twice or more what the other fetches and both from reputable sellers, even on the same day! Campagnolo and other relatively common bits make particularly interesting case studies because there have been so many sold, there is a wealth of sales data.

In a nutshell, Ebay prices for pieces for our hobby are often very, very, very random.
