I had a Nadax BB in my 1980 Tom Ritchey. As I recall it was designed with a soft aluminum body. The threads in the frame's BB shell cut threads in the Nadax BB as it was installed. It looked like it had a lockring on each side, but one side was attached to the BB itself. You used a lockring tool to install it. The other side was essentially a big nut that threaded on to lock the BB in place. It gave me years of trouble-free service
