Hi John,

Let me know how your tandem riding with the wife goes. I have been riding for many years except for a 6 1/2 year gap from a spine/brain injury. We have 2 1969 Paramount tandems. The yellow one is mint and the ugly chocolate milk painted one is being re-worked and I want the lime green on it. About 1 month ago I purchased a suburban chainguard from about 1965-67 and need the lime color code if anyone out there can help me? I am completely aware about the high metallic base sulver underneath, but the lime color is what I am after. We spray PPG, but it does not matter what companies paint, I just need some direction for the code. Both these tandems are the same size and are non step through design. Again, John, riding with your wife, I would like to have a report because I have never ridden a tandem in either captain or stoker. Thanks everyone for making this the greatest place to discuss vintage bicycles.

Regards, John Proch

With all the discussion of model codes for 1960's Paramounts, is there a designation for the Tandem? P15? T-13, T-14??

I have a 1973 tandem with mixte rear. Really don't have experience riding tandems, but with my lightweight wife on the rear, it feels quite flexible compared to a solo.
