Of all the places I've been posting this, I'm not sure I've actually sent it to the CR list! This is our second year, Americane' Vintage Track & Road Bike Festival, to be held at The International Velodrome at Bloomer Park - Rochester Hills, Michigan, on Saturday July 3rd.

Includes a swap meet, bike show, and riding vintage bikes (or modern rentals at just $5) on the track! Last year was small, but still great fun. This year is shaping up to offer a LOT more attendees ... and a LOT more lugged steel bikes!

Here's an online flier with specifics, albeit, the photo doesn't seem to be showing up, and it may ask you to sing in as it just did me, for some unknown reason: http://tinyurl.com/25kveqm

Should that fail, check out the less glorious but just as enlightening press release: http://tinyurl.com/23gscda

Or, if you're on Facebook, check out our event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=131708580176135

This one day only event will be the Saturday before the July 4th Independence Day holiday, so if you have the time off you can bring your family to the park, which sports playground equipment, picnic areas, grassy expanses, family oriented MTB trails, ample and convenient parking, and public restrooms, all within a couple hundred yards of the velodrome.

There will also be the second day of this year's Nas-Track 3-Day racing series, starting at 7:30pm ... fast and furious!

I will be displaying a 1973 Colnago Super, 1974 Paramount Track, 1973 Pino Morroni modified Paramount Track, 1984 Torpado Superlight (of course), and one or two other bikes, in addition to having a bunch of wheels, frames and misc stuff to sell at the swap.

Bicycle Classics will be in attendance, with a host of NOS Campagnolo, etc., track and road items to make your mouth water.

Hope to see you there!
