Subject: [CR] Firmer plans for Madison ride

Hi,

I posted this May 1, and got a little bit of interest. The best date for me would be July 24, but I can also manage July 17 or July 31. If you are interested, please reply by July 1 with your choice of dates. Also, slight change in plans - the pre-ride get-together will be at my house for coffee, bagels and other breakfast fare. Show and tell, with secure storage of non-ridden bikes at the house.

Repeated message: Some of those who went to the Cronometro swap in Madison in January had lunch at a bar & grill called Tony Frank's. Now that it's riding season, Tony Frank's can also serve as a nice meeting place for a ride of virtually any length and difficulty, from just a few miles through the University of Wisconsin Arboretum and Madison's bike trails, with stops at the Budget Bicycles Used Bike Showroom, which has on-topic bikes, and Yellow Jersey, which has a number of KOF frames and a lot of support for vintage bikes. Those young and athletic could actually do a lap of the Madison Ironman loop from there.

What I would like to do is meet at Tony Frank's, go for a ride, ending at the same spot and have a beer and a burger and hang out for a while. Sort of a Midwest version of a BVVW meeting. I'd like to do this on a Saturday in June or July, and I invite any and all listers to come. Email me off list if you are interested, and some of the dates that might work for you, and I'll post more details on the list as the details get worked out.
