Okay...
Now that I had my reminder...did a search thru bikelist.org and of course it hasn't failed me yet:
I get the impression that Union and Union-Berg/Berg-Union were/are not one and the same. Union was out of Germany while the "Berg" was out of Switzerland.
That's the question I had come across more than once and never really got around to answering.
Union was bought by Marwi (Taiwan) who also bought out Selle San Remo (saddles).
