Subject: [CR] Hetchins/LB Wolf musette information sought

It seems I may have transgressed in suggesting in my initial enquiry of list members, that I was seeking a valuation for resale of said musette. Dale has suitably chastized me accordingly, and I accept rule # 5 without question.

That was not my intention at all. I was just trying to establish if these had become collectableand if so what they are worth, ie. what are people's expectations of their value. If I have given the the wrong impression, I sincerely apologize to all. I have already given a plea in my defence directly to Dale.

I would also like to publicly apologize to Hilary as it *may* be construed that I was in some way 'hitting' on his trading in cycling components, as if it was in some way wrong or inappropriate. NOT the case.

Let me say that I have known Hilary well, for over 20 years, and in no way have I any criticism of him, his methods, or his choice of making a living. I have the greatest respect for Hilary AND have frequently purchased items from him for many years. The last being only this week! We have also consulted many times over the years on cycling research and history.

I am grateful to both Dale and Bob Freitas for enlightening me of the background on Spense Wolf and his shop, which I understand still exists under new ownership.

I hope that I have reassured list members of my original intentions.
