1. I thought the bearing surfaces of better spindles were heat-treated and hardened, not just ground and polished. And that the pits in bad spindles I have seen go through that hard surface.

2. What a place to announce the service, since the service is bicycle-specific !! If he gets customers, Ted, I think it will be entirely due to your sharing.
