I was lovingly doing a final cleaning on my 1974 right sided Campagnolo Nuovo Record crank arm tonite before I do the install on one of my restorations. I noticed a dimple with a small circle around it on the back side. It looks like a quality control test for hardness to me. I've never seen this before on an aluminum crank arm much less, one of this vintage. I assume that Campy only tested a statistically significant sample of these.
My question is..........does anyone else have one of these?
