Subject: [CR] WTB Two Left Arms and Two Right Forks
Two Left Arms
It is easier for me to understand where the mates to my sox go than to
understand where the left crank arms go.
I can see the load runs (in reverse) from the chain to the chainring, then for
the right arm directly up the arm to the pedal and for the left side it goes
through the bottom bracket to the arm and them pedal.
Regardless of how it happens, I have purchased two nice looking 170 Stronglight
- Peugeot right cranks - one looks like a 93 and the other a 99;

1) Can anyone confirm these are a 93 and 99 (or 49, or?)?
2) Does anyone have a left arm they can part with that will match these - I
would prefer the Peugeot labeling, but would accept any similar arms.
3) Can the 99 be converted to a triple relatively easily - if so, how?
Two Right Forks
For vintage steel bikes, it also seems odd to me how many frames are sold
without their forks.
Certainly things happen and forks can get trashed, but it seems
disproportionately high.
Regardless how it happens, I have two frames in need of 700c forks.
1) 1968/71 Full Chrome 23" Carlton Cobra with a 157mm headtube:

headtube

If you have an appropriate fork for either of these frames you are willing to
sell, please contact me.
If you have any guidance about what to look for in a fork for these two frames,
please let me know.
