Non riding spouses can be a kick!

I met my wife in Boise, Idaho. Early on in our relationship, we went to the start of the Idaho Women's Challenge bike race, where of course, I ran into a buddy from Berkeley.

Conversation went like this:

Earle: Hi Maynard, this is my girlfriend Sara.

Maynard: Sara, nice to meet you. Are you a rider too?

Earle: She's starting to ride. I got a new Marinoni, so I gave her my Dave Brink to ride.

Maynard: Wow, that is a great bike, How do you like it?

Sara: I'm not real fond of bending over so far on the handlebars.

I love her dearly, but Sara will never understand our passion.
