Subject: [CR] Ranson Cycles

I've picked up a frame that I can't really find any web info on the maker beyond the name on the downtube. Ranson Cycles, circa '79 based on the components when he bought the bike Pretty sure it's Belgian based on first owner and info at bottom There are some pics here from the seller: http://s390.photobucket.com/albums/oo350/Ranson531/Ranson%20frame/
>From these you can see the club cutout that's at the DT/HT lug, and also on the ST/TT lug. The TT/HT lug has a single circle cutout, Bocama lugs (BCM) It also has an interesting shifter stop, a brazed on ring that the clamp bolts through Some other specs in case they ring a bell: Has a 531db f, f, & s sticker, but sporting a 27.0 post, Imperial size tubing. Frame & fork weigh, per the old bathroom scale method, 4.7# frame, 6.5# total ST 58 cm c-c, TT 56cm c-c, 73*,73*,60* angles per the lugs, 167mm HT, 126mm OLD ~99.7 wheelbase, ~47.5mm rake, 41cm chainstay English thread BB, ISO headset Gipemme 1800cc dropouts steerer marked NERVO Top of BB brazed on cable guides (unmarked) Serial either 669 or 699

One sticker says "CADRE DERYCKE" Derycke was a Belgian racer in the 50's, finished 2nd twice in the roadWC, but the bike sports the stripes Cycles Derycke is [per a web search] a Brussels bike shop.

Can anyone shed any light on this acquisition?

Thanks,
Jim Carter
