Here we go again. Back on the same '66 World's Team, Mike Hiltner aka Victor Vicente was our best road finisher. The Road race was held on the Famous Nurburgring Grand Prix race course. With one lap to go Mike was at the front in about 6th place and we we ecstatic! When they came to the finish, Mike had dropped back to about 20th and told us they rode so hard on the last lap that he just couldn't hold his spot. But he almost fell when he got off the bike, so it wasn't for not giving it his all. I have a few good shots of Mike around So Cal in the early 60's also.
