My Built Dec 1952 is a 1953 Model Avant Coureur, The lugs are different to the same year NEW Allrounder. I have a scan of the catalouge that was sent to me by Norman Go to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/ Press the Claud Butler button on left then scroll down to 1953 I got my complete bike from a chap in England, The frame has been refinished in a dark green with spottled black kinda like, the crackel finish that Claud did, All the equip on my bike IS orig EXCEPT the saddle that was a B15N is now a Swallow, even the Dunlop HP tyres are orig and in pretty good nick, It is a Simplex 4sp, with Stronglight cranks Simplex double rings and Simplex Rod front shifter.GB Bars, Brakes GBspeapoint stem,B8 pedals,Orig Lucifer Dynamo.Bluemels mudguards. The Bi Lam lugs on the head look somewhat like Nervex But more ornate. The NEW Allrounder head lugs are more fancy. Someday when. as my daughter says "Dad get in the 21st Century" I will sign up to Wool Jersey and post photos, NO this bike is NOT for sale. I did race on 1949 Claud But cant remember what model it was,But had Claud build to my specs.remeber drawing the frame out on small square paper and sending it to them,My Dad God bless him financed it for me,I was only 16yrs old then, Did some pretty fast times on that bike, Cheers John Crump OldOhtobeyoungagainBrit, Parker.
