Subject: [CR] More about Ebay Outings on CR Mailing List

I agree with Don, plus...

- I do not follow eBay much and really DO appreciate being notified of rare interesting items up for auction.

- Please, please give us (me!) some idea of what the item is at auction, even size, etc., as that will help us (me) focus our (my) attention (or not!) I admit I am not interested in some items and time is of the essence.

Thanks Dale

Dear List Members,

I would like to emplore list members : Please DO NOT to write messages to CR list of the form, "Hey guys look at bike #18930298178983 on ebay! What a hoot, eh??"

CR an archival mailing list, and the ability to search the archive is one of the BEST things about the CR mailing list. A far better message to write to the CR list, treats the reader as if they are blind, and listening to the email, as the ebay the auction has a short lifetime and future readers of your message WILL INDEED BE BLIND TO THE EBAY AUCTION!

So a better message might be:

"Hey guys, did you check out the 56cm Verschnufectlagen bicycle on ebay (Auction #123456789)? It has the famous reynolds pretzel-knot top-tube, where the top-tube is tied in a bavarian pretzel shape, and which provides extra shock absorption, and it appears to be from the 68-69 era, judging from the reynolds decal ... I far prefer these top tubes to the waffle-pretzel shape, a competing design from columbus ..."

Thanks,
