I have a pair of '74 Internationals that I purchased over the holidays as part of a take-all three-bikes-or-nothing-deal. My budget said I should sell both Raleigh's, but after doing a little research and getting to know the model I've decided to keep one and sell one. I'm anxious to get one back on the road as I've read so many great comments on the International. The one listed below was purchased from the original owner and has been sitting in a heated basement since the early '80's. I would like to sell this quickly and will take $450 plus shipping for the complete bike. I've seen these priced for much more recently, but if I'm off the mark drop me a note and make an offer as I really need my living room back. A number of parts have been upgraded and I suspect you could part it out, if so inclined, as I see frames alone selling for this.
1974 Raleigh International - Serial No. WL 4002347 21.5" Orange/Rootbeer color with fancy crome lugs All original decals intact, nice chrome, paint still shines w/normal wear Dura Ace cranks and downtube shifters High flange Dura Ace hubs (front and rear) with rigida rims Suntour Cyclone dr's (front and rear), but I also have the original(?) rear Crane that I may part with
As many photos available as you can stand for the asking!
This is a nice straight bike that would make a great rider with an afternoon of cleaning and polishing. The serial number matches the year and color shown in the catalog. I really like this color with the chrome and I think it will be a sharp looking bike for someone...I just can't keep two of these.
Feel free to contact me with with any questions and I would happy to provide my phone number if you have detailed or specific questions about parts, price, etc.
Thanks much,
