Subject: [CR] re" ID-ing Schwinn Paramount seatpost

My Town & Country tandems came with the same seat posts. They were "close to" Paramounts, in being the top of the line (only?) tandems in their era.

harvey sachs mcLean va ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have a seatpost which has "Schwinn" in script letters near the top, just below the narrow tapered section for the saddle clamp. Chrome steel. "Semi-domed" top. It looks the same as the post in my '47ish Paramount. Unfortunately it was cut short, but it's still usable -- especially for the handful-or-less seatpost exposure look of yore.

So what's the word from the pundits? I have no idea -- does the script lettering make it a Paramount post, or were such posts common to lesser Schwinns as well?

Thanks for any thoughts -- as well as the recent detailed consideration of my Raleigh Record Ace (I guess) cranks.
