I have a 1970-71 Masi Gran Criterium built in Confente's Shop in Verona- V53 stamped on the BB and fork steer tube. The frame measures 52 c/c on the seat tube by 54 c/c on the top tube The BB is a five hole or five oval, fluted stays, and braze on cable guides on the BB. The frame has been repainted, and the paint is rough. It is in very good shape for being 40 years old. Probably better than its 40 year old owner. It would make an excellent restoration.
I built it last night, and rode it today. It is a wonderful riding frame. A little small for me. I built it with parts that I had laying around- It really should be restored, and built with the right group. I don't have the funds to do it, but I am hoping that someone out there does.
I'd be most interested in trading it for an American KOF in a 54cm.
