Subject: [CR] FS: interesting road frame/fork -- Lotus?? 23" c-t

for sale today from Chez Charles et Carmen this very interesting early '80s racing frame, badged *4 RANDZOLLI.*

Cutouts in the lugs suggest it's a Lotus, but I can't tell you any more than that.

What I can tell you is that this is a top-quality italian-style production road-racing frame, probably japanese-made. If anyone can tell me more about it, please do. 23" c-t seat-tube, about 57cm c-c top-tube.

It's for sale, for $450 OBO shipped in CONUS. This price includes Campagnolo steel road headset in excellent shape; Campagnolo Record bb with bolts in excellent shape, and the Super Record Seatpost it came with (it's an odd size, 26.8 I think, so I left it with the frame) Additional details listed with the pics:

Paint is easily a 9-out-of-10..from 5 feet away the frame looks virtually new. there are a few scrapes and scratches here and there, and wear in the usual spots, but considering its age, and the fact that it was clearly ridden regularly for awhile there, it looks really good. Note the skull/crossbones badges on the back of the seat-stays near the drop-outs, and on the front of the forkblades...clearly the original owner meant business ;>

Workmanship overall is definitely a long cut above the usual japanese production frame.

I really want this bad-boy outta here, so if you want it, let me know!

A: "In big ways, and little ways too, people do that all the time to themselves. We can't stand prosperity. We have to tinker with the machinery."
