Stumbled across this a few hours ago. Bike looks to be about a '70, good red paint and excellent decals. 23.5" or thereabouts - I didn't ask for exact measurements. Stronglight 93, high flange Tipos, Mafac Competitions, derailleurs have been swapped to Shimano 105 Golden Arrows. Even has a pump with a Campy metal head! Stem, saddle/post and pedals aren't original. Seller has great pix for the asking. I'd buy it myself to clean up and part out - the hubs, cranks and brakes would easily cover the $200 purchase price - but maybe a Gitane fan will want it to restore and ride? Pretty easy to bring back to correct spec, I'd think. I've exchanged a handful of emails with the seller - seems to be a decent guy, quick to respond and friendly. No relation, of course.
Can't help with transport - it's a big state - Helena is about 240 miles away, and usually three hours each way driving with reckless abandon. Another reason why I'm not jumping it. Good hunting.
