Gios Torino.

Refers to the place one assume since the Gios factory was in.. Torino. And were not Nisi up the road? Which reminds me to keep looking for a Nisi wheelset to replace the Fiamme one on my Gios to keep her "tutto Toriniano".

When first introduced in 1973, the Gios "superlight model for professional and amateur races" was called the "Record GT" (model no. 752) and one assumes GT stood for, well, Gios Torino. But the official model name of these machines was always Record, then Super Record and then Professional, I believe. Not "Gios Torino". And I think the "GT" was dropped after a few years anyway.

I am not sure why someone decided Torino required such pride of place but it sounds nice together. So does Masi Milano for that matter. Or, heaven offend, Dawes Tyseley.
