Not sure of this product but it sounds like a similar product we used to use to protect the chain stay from chain rub. It worked fine and you almost didn't know it was there. The only problem was it tended to turn yellow as the years went by. The good news was it can easily be removed from the chain stay without any damage to the frame. Wouldn't want to have to pull it off old decals. Might pull the decals off with it....
