My wife and I spent our honeymoon in New Orleans, and took our bikes with us. Maybe not bike friendly in the sense of dedicated paths, but one can get around there on a bike quite easily. And if one is visiting the French Quarter in the daytime, but staying a few miles away, cycling is ideal, as parking for cars in the French Quarter is EXTREMELY limited, while one can always lock a bike to a lampost while in a restaurant or club.
