I have a Unicanimex saddle. It's a pretty good knock off of the leather covered Unicanitors with the 1/4" padding. It's held up at least as well as a real leather covered Unicanitor that I have.
I rode Unicanitors in the early 70s until I discovered Brooks Pros and never went back. My last Unicanitor back then was a buffalo leather covered model with about a 1/2" of foam padding.
Lambertini sold all kinds of knockoffs from REG H20 bottles and cages to Sergal style shorts and jerseys.
I still have my first pair of riding shorts from the early 70s, acrylic Lambertinis. Riding shorts were the first cycling upgrade after putting on toe clips!
These shorts have a chamois seat and are still usable - well almost. They survived in a bag with 6 pairs of wool shorts that became moth food! ;-(
